Dear Parents,

We will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo tomorrow, Friday, May 3rd.  The children do not need to wear spirit shirts or uniforms.  They may wear red, green and white or a traditional outfit (sombreros, ponchos, etc.)  They will have activities at lunch and recess.

The church and school are doing a drive for personal items for Lutheran World Relief.  Please donate lightweight bath towels, soap, or wide tooth combs.  You may also send in a check for $15.00 made payable to OSLC, memo : LWR kits.  There is a bag in our classroom for the donated items.  Thanks so much for your support in this drive!

Principal of the Day will be on May 10th this year.  Justin and Brandon Young will be serving as our principals on that day.  They have declared it a free dress and crazy hair day!  They will be having fun games at recess and lunch, and ice cream with toppings will be served after lunch.  At 2:15 there will be a friendly competition between students and staff.

We are looking forward to Field Day on May 17th.  This year instead of just activities on Friday, we will have activities all week.

Tuesday, May 14th: Fit Kids class with Kiana Breshears!

Wednesday, May 15th: Healthy treat from the PTF.

Thursday, May 16th: Dress up in your favorite sports team attire.

Friday, May 17th: The activities will begin at 9:15, and there will be a 12:00 dismissal.  More information about volunteer opportunities has come home with your children or you can contact Roxanne Hammond or Kiana Breshears.

Our LegoLand trip will be on Monday, May 20th.  The children are all so excited for this, and we are so happy that so many of the parents can come!

Open House is on May 21st  at 6:30, and that will also be a 12:00 dismissal.  Remember that the children are to come to Open House to take you on a tour of the class and to show you their hard work!

The church is promoting Vacation Bible School, and I will be in charge again this year.  It will be June 24-28 and is so much fun for the children.  Many kindergartners have already signed up, so send in your forms, or you can pick one up in the office!

We began Reading Unit 9: Red, White and Blue.  The theme focuses on Patriotism, as we learn about our country.   We will learn the long Oo and long Uu sounds and read Decodable books that incorporate these sounds.  Our new high frequency words will be boy, out, do, little, then and when.  We are also reviewing our past high frequency words, color words and number words 1-10.

In Math we are beginning Topic 14, Time.  We will be looking at More and Less Time, Order of the Day, Order of Events, Finding Numbers on a Clock, Telling Time to the Hour, and Times of Events.

April 18, 2013

Dear Parents,

Welcome back!  We hope everyone enjoyed their week off for Spring Break.  All of the children came into class with fun stories about their week and excited to be back at school.

On Tuesday we had a wonderful PTF sponsored activity, FOODPLAY!  The show lasted 45 minutes and stressed the importance of eating breakfast, a balanced diet, fruits and vegetables, cutting down on sugars and fat.  They also stressed the importance of physical activity and a good mental attitude.  For the older children, they discussed food labels and where you can find the ingredients.  The presentation was very fast paced, interactive, and the main characters engaged all of the children.

We are continuing Reading Unit 8: Ready, Set, Grow.  The long vowel sounds are being introduced, which is always challenging.  Please read the Decodable Books 3 times with your child for homework.  We are also reviewing our past high frequency words, color words and number words 1-10.  This unit focuses on how things grow, which is parallel to our current science unit, “Plants”.  We are planting sunflowers to observe their roots, stems, leaves, and petals.

In Math we are finishing up Topic 12, Length.  If our homework pages ask for something to be measured with cubes and you don’t have any cubes at home, please feel free to use some other item or a ruler.  We will begin Topic 13, Capacity and Weight, next week.

Our Kindergarten Field Trip to LegoLand is scheduled for May 20th.  This is an all day activity and all parents are invited to join us for the fun.   The information letter and permission slips came home today for you to review, sign and return.  Please have all paperwork back to our classroom by Monday, April 20th.

If you can believe this...  we are running out of wipes!  If you happen to have any around the house or would be willing to donate some, we would be so appreciative!  Also, many of our friends are running out of glue sticks, so please check with your child and see if he/ she needs more!  Thank you so much!

Thank you,

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

Dear Parents,

Our Easter party yesterday was so much fun; thank you for all who helped to make it so. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Easter!  Remember that there is no school on Monday, April 1st.  We will not be sending home any homework next week!

The 3rd quarter ends today, so report cards will be going home next week.   There is another ½ day on Friday, April 5th- 12:00 dismissal.  We have that day for optional conferences, so please let us know if you would like to schedule a time to meet.  As always, if that day does not work for you, and you would like to meet, we can arrange another time- no problem!

Spring Break this year is from April 8th to April 12th.  School will resume on April 15th.

We want to let you know the date for LegoLand!  This year we will be going on May 20th.  We can get as many adult tickets as we have children.  Adult tickets are $22.00.  This is a day, however, that siblings are not able to join us.  We will be getting more information to you, but we wanted you to get that date on your calendars!

We just finished Topic 11-Geometry in Math and are starting Topic 12-Length next week.  Topic 12 introduces the children to attributes that can be compared, ordered, and measured.  We will be using different measuring tools, such as paper clips and crayons.  Please continue to use the math vocabulary we have been learning all year with the children, reinforcing the other Topics we have learned so far.

In Reading, we are starting Unit 8: Ready, Set, Grow, which will go right along with our plant study in Science.  In this unit, the children read a variety of selections that teaches them what it means to be alive and how different living things grow.  We will be learning the long Aa and the long Ii sounds.  We will add said, that, down, they, some and there to our high frequency word list.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

March  12, 2013

Grandparent’s Day was a great success!   We hope that the grandparents enjoyed it as much as we did.  The children were so proud to take them around the classroom; they were quite good hosts and hostesses.

Lutheran Schools Week was a lot of fun.  We had many great activities, but we think that free dress and crazy hair day was probably their favorite part.

We are looking forward to our visit from Alexis O’Neill on Thursday,  March 14th.  Our assembly will be from 8:45 – 9:30, and you are welcome to join us!

In Math, we are starting Topic 11: Geometry.  We will learn about rectangles, squares, circles, triangles, solid figures, and flat surfaces of solid figures.  Geometry, the study of shapes and spatial relationships, is important because it offers children opportunities to relate math to the real world.

In Reading, we are continuing Unit 7: Teamwork.  It has been so exciting to see the great progress the children are making.  Nothing is more wonderful than seeing those little faces light up when reading begins to “click.”  Please stay on top of the decodables at home and continue to practice sight words.  This week there is no decodable for homework, so please be sure to go over addresses and phone numbers until they have them down pat.  We will be assessing them next week.

Mrs. Griffin will be traveling to New York to see her son, so Mrs. Wilcox will be subbing for her on 3/12, 3/18 and 3/19.

Our chapel verse will be on the 27th of this month, so be sure to come and watch!

Have a great week!

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

Here are some fun pictures from Dr. Seuss Day! We missed you, Dane and Savi!   Have a great weekend!

February 22, 2013

Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for all of the Valentine treats!  You are all so thoughtful.  The children had a great time at the party, and it was so sweet to see how excited they all were to share and give to their friends and teachers.

Be sure that the invitations for Grandparents’ Day got delivered by you.  It is such a fun and special day!  Remember, too, that if grandparents live too far to come, you can invite aunts, uncles or close family friends.

The Annual Spring Auction is just around the corner.  Early bird pricing for tickets ends on Feb. 22.  There will be dinner and dancing and great items to bid on, including some teacher baskets.  Erin Crowe and Trace will each have a basket for a movie and dinner night.  Each basket will include a movie at the Krikorian Theater and dinner at Wahoo’s for two children.  We will go on our outing as a group.  The kids are all very excited about this!

In Math, we are on Topic 10: Patterns.  We will be looking at color and shape patterns, comparing patterns, using patterns to predict what comes next, extending patterns, and creating patterns.  The thought processes used by children to recognize, extend, describe, and create a variety of patterns are the beginnings of algebraic reasoning processes that lead to extending sequences of numbers and creating equations to describe numerical relationships.

In Reading, we are starting Unit 7:Teamwork.  In this unit, the children read a variety of selections that teaches them the value of teamwork in reaching a goal.  Through the literature, children begin to understand how teams work and to appreciate their own talents and the talents of others on a team.  We will be learning the letters and sound of w /w/, k/k/, e/e/, q/q/, y/y/ and v/v/.  We will add look, with, her, what, was and there to our high frequency word list.

Thank you,

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

February 1, 2013

Dear Parents,

We have such a busy and exciting month coming up!  We are looking forward to celebrating the 100th day of school on Feb.20th.  How time flies!  We will be having a Valentines party on Thursday, February 14th @ 1:00.  At the party the children will hand out their Valentines (this can take a long time), and then eat some treats.  If your child is bringing Valentines, they should bring a signed Valentine for all of their classmates.  We have 15 students in our class.  They do not need to write their classmates names on the envelopes, in fact it is easier for them if they don’t, but if they want to, that is fine also.  We will have plenty of parent helpers to help them read the names.  We will be making bags in class for them to use to bring their Valentines home.

For planning sake, we want to let you know that Grandparents’ Day will be on March 8th.  If your child’s grandparents are unable to attend, an aunt, uncle, or close friend can take their place.  We will have activities all morning for our guests, and the children will be dismissed at 12:00.  There will be formal invitations and more information to come!

We sent home Scholastic Book orders today.  I doubt that we will be able to get the Valentine’s books in time, but we will try.  The due date to turn your order in to me it the 7th, however you can order online, as well.  We still get class points and you will get some free books and credits, too.  Go to scholastic.com/bookclubs.  Our class activation code is: HFGJZ.

Alexis O’Neill, the author, will be visiting our school and doing a presentation for the children on March 14th.  In preparation for her visit, we have begun to read some of her books.  She is fantastic, and the children are so enjoying her stories.  We are all so excited for her to come!   You will receive an order form in a few weeks with book titles that you can purchase for your child and have signed by Alexis O’Neill.  This is always so special for them!

In Math, we are on finishing Topic 8: Numbers to 20.  We will begin Topic 9: Numbers to 30 on Friday.  The children will be counting to 30, estimating, reading and writing numbers through 30, comparing and ordering numbers, and estimating sums and differences of big numbers.  We are still focusing on the 10-frame as a useful tool to grasp numbers through 30.  Early work with estimating quantities depends on children’s ability to recognize and understand tens and multiples of 10.

In Reading, we are just starting Unit 6: My Shadow.   Children are fascinated with shadows.  Because they do not yet understand what makes shadows appear, children find them intriguing, mysterious, and even magical.  The reading selections in this unit build on children’s natural curiosity about shadows.  They will research just as scientists do and will test their results.  We will continue to work on initial and final phoneme blending, phoneme segmentation, phoneme matching and manipulation.  We will be going over the letter sounds for j, f, u, x, z, and /z/ spelled s.  We will add these words to our high frequency list:  for, but, up, and all.  The decodable books are getting quite a bit harder.  Again, we reiterate that it is so important for the children to practice these books each night until it is “easy” for them.  Please begin reading these books on Monday nights; most children will need to practice it every night!

On that note, several students are still struggling with phone numbers and addresses.  Please be giving the children opportunities to practice this with you.

Remember that school registration is open, and on February 14th it will become open to the public.  Turn it in early!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

January 15, 2013

Dear Parents,

Happy New Year!  January is a busy month in Kindergarten, and we have hit the ground running.  We will begin to learn our addresses (house # and street name, city, state, and zip code), we will finish up learning to write our lower case letters and will begin to write our upper case letters, and we will also begin to learn how to write our last names. We do check in with them on their addresses and phone numbers, but asking them once in a while at home will also keep it fresh in their minds.  Please have them write their last names on their homework packets, as well.

We have finished Topic 6, Addition and are starting Topic 7, Subtraction.  We still do a lot of comparing of numbers, so using the math vocabulary with your child is extremely important.  Again the word fewer seems to throw them for a loop!  The more they hear it, the more they will get comfortable with it.  In addition to our Math curriculum, we have also learned to count by 10’s and by 5’s to 100.  We have also introduced time to the students (to the hour and ½ hour at this point) and coin money (the penny and nickel).  If you only have digital clocks at home, it is a good idea to get an analog clock for your child’s room so they can practice telling time at home as well.

In Reading we have started Unit 5, Stick to It.  This unit is all about perseverance.  Our bible story this week, Noah and the Ark, shows how Noah persevered and had faith to build an ark because God asked him to.  The children will discuss why it is important to stick to an activity, what might make us want to give up, and what helps us stick to a goal.  We are learning and blending the sounds of Bb, Cc, Oo, Rr, and Gg.

There is a holiday on January 21st for Martin Luther King Jr, so there will be no school.  We will begin our Meet the Masters Art Program on January 22nd, and memorize and recite a verse in Chapel on January 30th.  The second quarter ends the last full week of January and report cards will be sent home on January 31st.  There is a minimum day, 12:00 dismissal, on January 25th. No formal parent/teacher conferences are scheduled with this report card, but if you would like to meet with us, please let us know!

Mrs. Wilcox will be on vacation next week, so Tricia Bowman will sub on Thursday and the minimum day on Friday.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

December 21, 2012

Dear Parents,

What a fun few weeks we have had!  The children did a wonderful job with their Christmas performance.  They all looked great and sang their hearts out!  We hope you all enjoyed the show.  The chapel presentation was so much fun for all of us and hopefully for you, too!  We have been so touched by the “12 days of Christmas” gifts.  Thank you all so much for this sweet and thoughtful idea!   Construction paper holders- oh, my!!!  What a fantastic solution to a huge problem we have had!  Thank you all so much!

In math, we have been comparing numbers through 10.  We finished Topic 5 and taught about one more, one fewer, two more, two fewer, and ordinal numbers 0-10.  Keep using the math language at home, especially the words fewer, less than, and greater than.  We have begun Topic 6, Addition.

In reading, we are finishing up Unit 4, By the Sea this week.  The Christmas break is a great time to review the high frequency words we have already learned and the letters Aa, Dd, Hh, Ii, Ll,  Mm, Nn, Pp, Ss and Tt.  The children have done a great job memorizing their phone numbers.  After the break, we will begin memorizing our addresses.  They need to know the house number, street, city, state and zip code.

Last Friday we participated in the Orange County Department of Education’s Inside the Outdoor class “Me in My World.”  We learned about the different characteristics of mammals, had the opportunity to pet a chinchilla, possum, and a rabbit, and also learned that we are mammals too.  It was a great experience for the children.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Break, and we will see you all on January 7th!

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

November 30, 2012

It is already time for our Christmas Season to begin!  Monday, December 3rd, is our musical.  The children need to be in their classrooms by 6:40 pm.  The show will begin at 7:00 pm.  Both the parking lot and the chapel fill up quickly, so be sure to get here early!  Unless told to wear a costume, have your child come in Sunday best attire.

The Book Fair is now open and will be open the night of the musical.  It will also be open the 3rd- 6th in the morning, lunch time, and after school.  The children previewed the books today and are coming home with a list of their favorites.  If you so desire, the children are allowed to bring money to school to purchase items during lunch.

Our chapel presentation will be on December 12th at 8:30 am.  The children are working so hard and looking just fantastic.  We are in need of simple mouse, cat and dog costumes, so let us know if you have anything at home that we can use.  We look forward to seeing you there!

We will be starting our Christmas crafts and activities, remembering that the focus of it all is that Christ, our Savior, was born.  We will be having a Christmas cookie decorating celebration on the 21st at 11:00.  Vikki Winters will be contacting you with those details!  All are welcome; it is sure to be a fun time!

We are comparing numbers through 10 in Math.  We are learning about ordinal numbers, one more, one fewer, two more, two fewer, and ordering  numbers 0-10.  Try using the language of “fewer” with your children:  “What is one fewer than seven?   I have three apples, what is one fewer?”  The more comfortable they become with the language, the easier it all becomes.  It is exciting to see that when the children see objects in the ten-frames, they are starting not to count them; they are beginning to know that 5 is the top row, 10 is the whole thing, 9 is one missing, etc.  All of these basics will help the children excel in Math next year!

In Reading, we are starting a new unit, By the Sea.   They will spend time learning about sea life, as well as practice asking questions and learning how to research.   We will be working on the skill of blending and focusing on the initial and final sounds of Hh, Tt, Nn, Ll, and short Ii.  Our high frequency words for this unit are at, to, I, see, it and is.

just were trained on a new program that the school has purchased.  The Discovery Education Science Techbook is customized to California Standards and is an interactive resource utilized to enhance the science curriculum.  We are so excited to get started using it in the classroom!

Thank you,

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

November 16, 2012

Dear Parents and Students:

Thank you to everyone who helped make our Thanksgiving Friendship Lunch and FAM lunches so successful.  I think the children really enjoyed making lunches for others and also enjoyed the opportunity to make lunches to share with K2.  Hopefully it was a meaningful way for them to begin their Thanksgiving break.

The children are busy practicing their Christmas Musical songs with Mrs. Assisi.  The Christmas Musical is the evening of Monday, December 3rd @ 7:00.  Mrs. Assisi sent home an email regarding what the children should be wearing that evening.  Please keep in mind it gets hot on the stage with the lighting.  Any questions, please contact Mrs. Assisi @ s.assisi@oursaviorsschool.net.  That evening, the children need to be in their classroom by 6:40.  This event is very well attended, so you may want to get here early with your student to get a good seat.

We have also been busy practicing for our chapel skit, “The Little Red Hen,” that will be on December 12th at 8:30.  Please be sure that your child knows his/ her lines by the time we come back from Thanksgiving break.  We are also learning a song in class.

Our Christmas party will be on December 21st at 11:00.  We will be decorating cookies and having a few snacks.  Everyone is always welcome (siblings, too).

Please continue to have your child practice their phone number daily, including the area code.  If they know it, then they should start memorizing their addresses; house number, street, city, state and zip code.

Thank you,

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

November 1, 2012

Dear Parents:

Thank you to the parents who volunteered at our annual Barnyard Bash, and a great big thank you goes to Julie DeNault for organizing and working so hard to make it a great success!  It was so much fun and is always one of our favorite days in Kindergarten.

November has arrived and we have already entered the busy holiday season, even here at school.  Thank you for making the time during Parent Teacher conferences to meet with us.  Your child’s education is a partnership between family and school, and we appreciate all of your feedback.

In Social Studies we are discussing needs, wants, and Thanksgiving.  We will have a Friendship lunch as our Thanksgiving feast this year on Friday, November 16th along with K2.  We will be sending home the menu choices.  You will simply circle the items that your child would like for lunch and return to us.  You will then receive another child’s menu choice and a decorated paper sack to put it in for Friday, November 16th.  The children really enjoy this time together and the Friendship Feast.

In reading we are concentrating on the sounds that the letters make and separating words into syllables and beginning, middle and ending sounds.  Even for the child who is already reading, these are important skills to practice.

In Science, we are finishing a unit on water and beginning our next unit topic: weather.  We will discuss the different tools scientists use to measure weather and also the water cycle.  We will learn about the different seasons and their different types of weather. This will also lead into migration and hibernation.

In Math we are wrapping up Topic 4 before we break for Thanksgiving.  When we return we will start Topic 5 where we will compare and order numbers.

For future planning, we do have a Grandparent Day celebration every year at OSLS.  This year it will be March 8th.  The Grandparents are invited to come to school and spend the morning with their grandchildren.  We know some grandparents live a distance away, so we like to give my families time to make arrangements.

Thank you-

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

October 14, 2012

September is over, and we are into October. This is how the Kindergarten year goes...FAST!  We will be saying our first Bible verse in front of the school in chapel this Wednesday, October 17th.  Please sit in the back of the church if you come to watch.

Part of our Kindergarten curriculum is helping your child learn their phone number and address.  In the first quarter we will concentrate on phone numbers.  They will learn their addresses in the second quarter.    Many families have home numbers, cell numbers and work numbers.  Please pick the number you would want your child to call if they need to get a hold of you.  With this week’s homework is a form to fill out to let us know which phone number you would like your child to learn.  Please complete and return by Wednesday, October 17th

Our Red Ribbon week is October 22nd – 26th.  This week encourages children to live healthy, active lifestyles.  We have small activities planned in class each day, but on Thursday, the students are encouraged to dress in red; red shorts, shirts, socks and shoes.  Please do not color your hair red or wear any red hats.

Mark your calendars because OSLS will be celebrating its annual Barnyard Bash Wednesday, October 31st!  The children are looking forward to dressing as farm animals, cowboys, cowgirls, or farmers.  This event is from 10:00-12:00, on the playground and includes games and food.  Parents are encouraged to come enjoy the festivities as well.   This is a minimum day and school will be out at 12:00.  Mrs. DeNault will be reminding those who signed up to help with our class game and the time they are working.  Thank you again for volunteering.

Report Cards for the first quarter will be sent home on Tuesday, October 30th.   Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 1st and Friday, November 2nd. We will post a signup sheet on the bulletin board by the playground door beginning next week.  We do like to meet with every parent, so please drop by and sign up for a time.

In reading, we are finishing up our review of the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make, as well as learning many new sight words.  Please continue to read the small paper books that come home weekly with your child at least 3 times a week.  Then please sign where indicated and return with their homework.

In math, we will begin Unit 4 next week which covers the numbers 6-10.  Again, we will be teaching the children the conceptual model of the math facts, coloring ways to make the numbers.  For example, when asked to use two colors to show all the ways to make 6, think of the math facts for 6.  6+0 or 6 yellow, 0 red; or 0+6, 0 yellow, 6 red; 5+1, 5 yellow, 1 red; 1+5, 1 yellow, 5 red; etc.  Again, we would be happy to show you examples in person if this is unclear.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call.

Thank you,

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

September 26, 2012

Dear Parents:

Thank you for coming to Back to School Night last Tuesday.  It was great to see you and review the year we have ahead of us in kindergarten.   You will be surprised at how quickly the year will go.

Our first class activity requiring parent volunteers is Barnyard Bash.  Barnyard Bash is our annual harvest celebration.  The children are encouraged to dress up as farmers, cowboys, scarecrows, or farm animals.  The weather is typically on the warm side, and this is an outside event at school, so please keep that in mind when choosing a barnyard costume to wear.  Barnyard Bash will take place on Wednesday, October 31, which is a minimum day.  The activities usually start around 10:00.  We have some entertainment, play games and eat lots of food.  We still need volunteers to help with our Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss game from 10:00 – 11:00.  Please contact our room parent, Julie DeNault to sign up.

We have begun our reading curriculum in class and are reviewing our letters of the alphabet and the sounds they make. With fall just beginning, we will be talking about the fall season in science and many of our fall holidays in social studies.  Our handwriting program has now transitioned from lines and circles to actually forming letters.

In math we have been practicing writing the numbers 1-5 and also learning the number words.  We will be introducing the addition facts for those numbers as well.  We will be teaching the children the conceptual model of the math facts, so throughout the year your child will be coloring ways to make a number.  For example, when asked to use two colors to show all of the ways to make four, think of the math facts for four.  4+0 or 4 red, 0 yellow; 0+4 or 0 red, 4 yellow; 3+1 or 3 red, 1 yellow; 1+3 or 1 red, 3 yellow; and 2+2 or 2 red, 2 yellow.  When these pictures are clear and vivid for them, the math facts come much easier.  We would be happy to show you and explain in person if this still seems unclear!  We are starting Topic 3: More and Fewer next week.

When doing homework, please be sure that your child uses pencil when writing numbers or letters.  For any coloring, please use crayon, as marker bleeds through.  Also remember that share is a part of homework.  Each week on Wednesday, your child is to bring an item from home that begins with the letter of the week.

On October 17th, we will be performing our bible verse on stage during Chapel.  Bring your cameras for their big debut!

Make up day for school pictures is on October 2.  Please return the proofs to school, even if you are not ordering any photos.  However, if you order online, you may keep the proofs.

Thank you!

Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Wilcox

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Kindergarten!  We have had such a great first few days of school!  The children are all wonderful and adjusting so well.  We look forward to a great year ahead.

Just a few items of business:

  •  Please bring in an Earthquake Kit and Emergency Clothes.  If your child was here last year, the Earthquake Kit follows them, and we should have it.  If you are new, you can make a kit or purchase one in the office.  As for the clothes, they do not need to be uniforms.  They can be any older clothes and underwear.
  • Picture Day is on Monday, September 10th, so the children need to wear their formal uniforms.  Jumpers and blouses for girls and white shirts for boys.  Please send the chapel sweater with your child, as well.  They will wear these for the picture.  If you do not have one, there will be some on loan for the pictures.
  • Fridays are spirit days and the children can wear a Spirit T-shirt with jeans.  The shirts will be on sale by the PTF.  Look for an announcement of when via email.
