Yearbook

This school year we are trying something new for our yearbook. TreeRing, an Internet based yearbook publishing company approached us about being one of their charter customers. They have developed a system by which we can upload all of our images, then create our yearbook online, and then have it shipped to us. When I say "We" I mean all of us: Teachers, parents, and even students.

In addition to the regular 64 pages full of preschool and elementary student portraits, class candids and school events that our book normally carries, each individual who orders a yearbook gets an additional 4 pages to customize within their own yearbook with their own personal photos, or with photos made available by us on the website. That's 4 pages that no one else will have of just your child, and maybe even some friends, or family. And the best part of all is that this new yearbook will be in full color, and for the same price as previous years: Just $20!

Parents will each receive an Email from TreeRing that explains the entire process of ordering and editing your own yearbook. Keep in mind that your order and your custom pages must be completed by April 16, 2010. You don't have to add your free custom pages if you decide not to; however, custom pages or not, all orders must be in by April 16th if you wish to receive your yearbook before the end of school. No extra yearbooks will be on hand for late sales. Each book is printed per order. You may still order your books after the April 16th deadline; however, your book will not be delivered in time for the end-of-the-year school yearbook signing day.

To initiate your account and begin uploading your personal pictures and editing your custom pages, click on the link provided in your TreeRing invitation Email. There, you will be prompted to enter a password for future access to your account. Be sure to keep this password in a safe place. Claim your child, or children, and then begin. If you have more than one child enrolled at Our Savior's, and you wish to customize a personal yearbook for each of them, then be sure to order and create separate yearbooks for each. All graphic editing work that you do will be saved as you create it. You can log out at any time. When you return to TreeRing to continue editing, just go to www.treering.com. You may also order yearbooks by filling out and mailing in the order form at the bottom of TreeRing's flyer.

If you did not receive an invitation email, have any questions, or need help logging in or editing your custom pages, please send a message to support@treering.com, or you may contact me at yearbook@oursaviorsonline.com. You can also stop by my classroom any time before or after classes Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.

I believe that you and your child will have a wonderful time customizing your own yearbook, and even more fun thumbing through the full color pages of a year in the life of your little student for years to come. I look forward to seeing our end result with our new publisher, and I expect a quality of printing and images that no one will want to miss out on.

Sincerely,

Patrick Wallace
